Good vs. Bad Readers
How we intake the world around us shows us a lot about who we are as a person. For those who are good readers, they are open to new ideas, they crave more, they will come back to the same information again and again, and they let the information change them. On the other hand, bad readers are not open to new ideas, they could take or leave information, they only engage once with the reading, and they do not let their minds be changed.
This can describe many Christians. Not to define a Christian is either good nor bad, but for the sake of the article I will be doing so. The "bad" Christian is your typical Easter and Christmas church attender. They don't make a habit of engaging the Bible, and they most certainly do not let the knowledge of the Gospel change them in any way. It is sad how easily it is to fall into this way of living. From this perspective your thoughts and ideals are the only way to live--the best way to live. A"good" Christian suddenly sees how flawed their views are. They see that habitually engaging in the Bible is transforming.
