Virtual Reality Good or Bad

Will VR fuel investigation into the real world or will it only go downhill from here? Personally, I think there is some truth in both of these options. I don't believe it can be objectively ascertained for either one. I think what matters is not an intention, but what you're actually going to do with it. I believe that VR as an art form is beautiful and good. I also believe it can lull us into a sense of false reality that we crave and put more time into than our actual reality. I can see a day where we will no longer wish to live in the world we do now but instead live in the one in which is virtual.
