HEY!!

Hey guys, my name is Jon Mayer (yes, like the singer)! I've gone through numerous nicknames over my life, including but not limited to: Jumping Jon, Jumping Jack, J Squared, Juan, and Saltando. So if you ever need to differentiate me from another Jon (or John), you can just use one of those names (because no matter where I go, there always seems to be at least two other Jons around).

I'm a sophomore and a film production major. I just transferred this semester from Indiana University South Bend. I'm from Elkhart, Indiana.

So, about me... well, I enjoy watching and making movies. Some of my favorite films include: The Empire Strikes Back, Spider-Man 2, Back to the Future, Mary Poppins, and Inception. As for making movies, I enjoy pretty much all parts of the filmmaking process: directing, acting, operating the camera, editing, etc. I have a youtube channel that I post monthly vids to, though more to just gain experience as a filmmaker, not to try to gain a big youtube audience (though if that ever happens, I won't complain). For these videos, I normally create some short random storyline and try out some kind of special effect.

I also enjoy theater. I like preforming on stage and getting to sing, act, and dance. I've performed in many productions including Music Man, Annie Get Your Gun, Jungle Book, Oklahoma, and Peter Pan. I collect "old-school" stuff, such as vintage coke bottles and cassettes/cassette players because I think they look cool (and I occasionally use them in my vids). And finally, I really enjoy tearing it up on the dance floor, getting everyone out in octoball, and speeding around on a skateboard.
