February 4th

Thursday we had watched short parts of a film called Pleasantville I think. We had also talked about the four seasons. I thought the four seasons were very interesting and how each season had its own thing. For example, spring was considered rebirth or birth, colors that would describe this are pastels, it also could be considered a garden. Summer was youth, romance and colors would be yellow. In the movie, the couple had gone into a town that had color and it seemed almost spring and summer. Trees were blossoming with which represented spring. Later there are different colors that to me represented summer. Fall represents evening and old age. Winter represents death. It also said that it was the irony. We had talked about how the four seasons can cycle around and go back and forth. The clips to me showed that once they got into the garden it almost seemed like that was their rebirth. In the end, I really liked when they went and drove into the garden and everything turned into a spring color. It showed a rebirth of a new relationship.
