Indie games

I missed class on Tuesday but it is my understanding that indie games were the subject of discussion and there are some really amazing ones out there. I'm gonna talk about one that I'm sure everybody has heard of but nobody can manage to actually play. thats right, Kerbal Space Program. Kerbal has been around for a while and right now its the top seller on steam. Kerbal is a game about building spaceships that is ungodly difficult. it is easily the most in depth building game i have ever played and there is so much to it that it is almost impossible to actually build something that works. this category of super difficult games seems to really pull people in to play them and its evident with other extremely popular titles like flappy bird and surgeon simulator. Kerbal's only real point is to successfully get the little green characters into space and it is an incredible feat if you do in fact manage to do so. There is alot that make games great and with indie games being in a similar position as indie films, they really get to follow their vision instead of the money.
