'The Hedgehog in the Fog' is considered to be one of the best animated movies ever in Japan. It is a renowned short film around the world and it is the brainchild of Yuri Norstein. He has a particular style that is very beautiful. In 'The Hedgehog in the Fog', Norstein creates this adorable and lovable character, but at the same time this hedgehog is extremely fragile and vulnerable. This makes you feel for him everytime he has an encounter with another creature. This hedgehog also has a big heart. The atmosphere of this film is dark, yet at the same time it feels very bright because you are introduced to such a bright soul, the hedgehog. I personally really enjoy this short.
