Hyper Light Drifter is a game that's come out recently and I've watched a view lets plays on Youtube to see what it's like. So far it looks like an incredible game. It manages to have nobody talking in words (at least in English sometimes) and yet you can still get what they're trying to say. It also makes it easy to understand how to play the game without really taking you out of the world like, "Hey press the _ button to swing your sword!" The art style is incredible. The animation for a game made in a pixel art style is done very well.
